According to various sources (digital music news and hits daily double) Myspace Records also had some job cuts yesterday, with the head of the label basically leaving to join Disney records (god really?).
Digital music news suggests that MySpace Records will stay around as a A&R resource. Really? We need those?
MySpace Records may heavily re-focus itself on A&R. The label had been branching itself out with more traditional label departments, but that direction could be scaled back.
MySpace has been irrelevant for some time now, and their data gathering skills were never that good (unless it was for hookups), so I am not certain as to what they will be selling.
